The wise know and trust in their LORD and the example for the human success story to follow – Prophet Muhammad’s (pbh) Way (Quran and his Sunnah) in the ‘blessed kingdom’ under the Christ-soul and Madhi to come. For their faith is the chosen Faith by way of ALLAH and the wise man or woman will put their faith in that which is sure!
‘Ali reported that one day ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) was sitting with a wood in his hand and he was scratching the ground. He raised his head and said: There is not one amongst you who has not been allotted his seat in Paradise or Hell. They said: ALLAH’s Messenger then why should we perform good deeds, why not depend upon our destiny? Thereupon he said. No, do perform good deeds, for everyone is facilitated in that for which he has been created; then he recited this verse: “Then, who gives to the needy and guards against evil and accepts the excellent (the truth of Islam and the path of righteousness it prescribes), WE shall make easy for him the easy end. But as for him who is stingy and complacent and denies goodness. WE will ease his way towards difficulty. And his money {positon/power} will not avail him when he plummets {towards the Fires of Hell}. It is upon US to guide.” Quran (92:5-12) (Muslim)
Indeed! Everyone has been ‘FACILITATED’ IN THAT WHICH HE HAS BEEN CREATED! This concept is too complex to understand with any depth! However, it gives the idea of ‘total control’ by the ONE GOD over the affairs of not only men but of all things surrounding and making up the environment and conditions of men.
The human mind cannot really begin to grasp this ‘total control’ because man’s mind would concentrate on only one aspect of it and thus rendering his notions as faulty or error-ridden in its aspects. It would be like trying to pour an ocean into a teacup. Let it be known, however, that mankind can still see the ocean and the teacup so, in that sense, we are not in total darkness.
The similitude of the above idea is as a man can look up and see the Moon and know that it is there. Yet, he cannot see the various grains of sand making up the Moon’s surface nor what is underneath the surface. So it is best to know that we as humans have our limitations.
The key word in this hadith is the word ‘FACILITATED’. That word shows that somehow conditions can be controlled to ‘move that particular soul’ to ‘the just desserts’ determined by an infinite number of factors aligning up with the soul’s development. Therefore, how could any man foreknow or foresee these events when an infinite number of results, causes and effects can be calculated into an ongoing and ever changing formula?
This awareness, just by itself, constitutes an impossible condition that no human or any machine, even if they worked hand-in-hand together, could calculate:
No just estimate have they made of ALLAH: for ALLAH is HE WHO is strong and able to carry out HIS WILL. Quran (22:74)
And HE is ALLAH: There is no god but HIM. To HIM be Praise, at the First and at the Last: for HIM is the Command {and the knowledge thereof}, and to HIM shall you (all) be brought back. Quran (28:70)
Abdullah b. Amr b. al-‘As reported that ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) as said: “Verily, the hearts of all the sons of Adam are between the two fingers out of the fingers of the Compassionate LORD as one heart. HE turns that to any (direction) {that} HE likes. Then ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) said: 0 ALLAH, the Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to YOUR obedience.” (Muslim)
Now the concept ‘that HE likes’ is based on HIS PERFECT SELF and declaration of HIS SELF! So, in remembering HIS SPECIAL NAMES or CHARACTERISTICS, we know that a TOTAL FAIRNESS AND EQUITY IS MAINTAINED BASED ON HIS PERFECT PLAN OF CREATION!
This is said because certain men of little understanding will try and poke holes in the concept of the PERFECT CREATOR LORD. They do so because they feel that if they cannot understand something with their so-called ‘great intellect’, then their concept of GOD HIMSELF must be limited to their own ‘feeble capacity’. This, in effect, would bring down a ‘god-idea’ to their feeble level! Hence, the philosophy of being an atheist.
But the blind, who are truly blind, are those who have eyesight but cannot see! Therefore, their concepts have turned against them and directs them to a type of faulty reasoning! Deaf, dumb and blind:
Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path) {unless ALLAH WILLS}.
Or (another similitude) is that of a rain-laden cloud from the sky: In it are zones of darkness, and thunder and lightning: They press their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunder-clap, the while they are in terror of death. But ALLAH is ever round the rejecters of Faith! Quran (2:18-19)
The example of those who disbelieve is like that of one who shouts at what hears nothing but calls and cries like cattle or sheep – deaf, dumb and blind, so they do not understand. Quran (2:171)
For the worst of beasts in the sight of ALLAH are the deaf and the dumb – those who understand not. Quran (8:22)
Quran (2:171) covers an amazing spread of concepts. It is very relevant in today’s world where many people behave in a fantastically, unbelievable manner of illogical ways. For example a complete degenerate, self-absorbed individual with known characteristics of what can be called ‘slime’, can generate millions of followers even when the ‘normal’ person can see through his/her smokescreen!
‘Normal’ people don’t go around making excuses for acting like barbarians or thoughtless creatures. An example of such is the example of the politics of depravity with followers being not only brainwashed but soul-washed and led to darkness with their own jovial certainty of being correct.
A good example in the extreme happened at a place called Waco, Texas under the guidance and leadership of a depraved individual known as Jim Jones.
When all is said and done, many people will, like animals, act to soothe their inner souls with that which is likened to ‘comfort food’ for the body taken under some type of duress. That being the case, they set themselves up for the ‘deadly whisperings’ of Satan and his crew such that they follow the suggestions laid down that will reinforce their hideous notionsthat they are on a pathway to ‘right guidance’.
The fly has now been sequestered in the Venus fly trap. In other words, the activities generated by that soul has led that soul to hanker for its ‘perceived pleasure’ after some type of degenerate activity giving that soul a reinforcement of being satiated or pleased.
The result is that it is trapped in the ‘environment’ of its own cooking and would feel somehow ‘put out’ to go against the grain. That means, a change of direction or activities would require quite a bit of work for that being. Hence, the idea of ‘going with the flow’ instead of against it becomes very much appealing and easier to digest.
That is but one reason why it is difficult for the individual soul to switch on or off and the likeness for that is smoking cigarettes. It becomes easy to say: “I will quit” but difficult to realize that goal until for many it becomes too late.
And the smoker in our example is actually pushed to continue by the effects of certain chemicals found in tobacco or other substances such that the brain tells the body that it is depriving itself of the ‘good’ by abstaining from the bad.
The Venus Fly Trap is now closing and if ALLAH does not WILL to save the fly, the ‘fly’ will be just a dinner for that plant.
There is no escape unless ALLAH WILLS! So those who have escaped should feel some affinity to the LORD OF THE WORLDS and return to the level of spiritual sanity of being entirely thankful to HIM – FIRST AND FOREMOST!
Ah! These are the sort of men on whose behalf you may contend in this world; but who will contend with ALLAH on their behalf on the Day of Judgment, or who will carry their affairs through?
If any one does evil or wrongs his own soul but afterwards seeks ALLAH’s Forgiveness, he will find ALLAH Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
And if any one earns sin he earns it against his own soul: for ALLAH is full of Knowledge and Wisdom {HE knows what (appears to HIS creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they encompass anything of HIS Knowledge except as HE Wills. His THRONE does extend over the heavens and on earth, and HE feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them, for HE is the MOST HIGH, The SUPREME in GLORY).”}. Quran (4:109-111)
“It is upon US to Guide.” The concepts that we can gain from this expression are varied and expansive! First, there is no power, principality or anything ever created that can act on its own without guidance, direction and planning. In other words there is ALLAH and there exists, by itself, nothing at all.
So, in this idea, all become servants of HIS DOMINION AND WILL to do as guided and directed by HIM and only HIM. That is just one reason that it is spiritual suicide to worship other than HIM or to go one’s own way as to being self-appointed and individually independent.
As a result, HE has no partners, consultants and definitely no rivals! Therefore, HE needs nothing and no one. Remember the Graciousness HE has given Jesus the son of Mary (pbh) an excellent chosen servant of HIS:
In blasphemy indeed are those that say that ALLAH is Christ the son of Mary. Say: “Who then has the least power against ALLAH, if HIS will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every – one that is on the earth? For to ALLAH belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. HE creates what {ever} HE pleases. For ALLAH has power over All Things.”
(Both) the Jews and the Christians say: “We are sons of ALLAH {GOD}, and his beloved.” Say: “Why then does HE punish you for your sins? Nay, you are but men, of the men he has created: HE forgives whom HE pleases, and HE punishes whom HE pleases {for HIS PURPOSES}: and to ALLAH belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between: and unto HIM is the final goal (of all)” Quran (5:17-18)
The running of the universe and its actions, results and any consequences thereof are on ALLAH’s Watch and HE is AL-Raqib:
ALLAH is AL-Raqib which means the ONE WHO sees what is hidden. HE is the Vigilant Witness and acts as a Guardian Protecting HIS varied creations on any level that they may exist on. This HOLY NAME also relates to the attribute of knowledge. HE is the ONE WHO sees the truth in all things and at all times. Therefore, HE knows the secrets of every soul, every living thing and that which we consider non-living things. So, on the Day of Judgment, ALLAH will recompense handsomely that which has earned the true reward.
Hence, it incumbent on HIM to carry through with HIS PLAN and no one will be allowed to frustrate HIS DESIGNS. However, feeble men of weak understanding think that, for example, illegally killing someone means the end of that person’s journey and a victory for the killer. Nothing could be further from the truth! It is just a beginning and not the end for the journey of the soul, though thankfully not understood, has its consequences reverberating throughout time, space and dimension.
Why thankfully not understood? The reason is that the ‘knowledge of these things’ would crush the human being under its weight and render him a babbling idiot. That is why the human being should ‘stay in his own lane’ as some say and not tamper with trying to pierce the UNSEEN.
And FAITH, REAL FAITH, demands the believer to put his/her trust in ALLAH as one’s GUIDE AND DETERMINER. For if you have hope in the creation or in any man, your hope is frail and is bound under ‘The Creative Law’ to fail!!! But hope in THE ONE GOD IS OF PRIME IMPORTANCE AS WELL AS ONE’S DEPENDENCE UPON HIM!
And so it goes!
