The use of the symbols {} is used just to add clarity to the meaning presented.
Time is a relative proposition and a thousand years in one place may be equated to a day or so in another place. So, the lesson is that we cannot be so strict in our interpretations concerning ‘future events’ using our sense of time across these spectrum of events.
And they ask you to hasten on the torment! And ALLAH does not fail HIS PROMISE. And verily, a day with your LORD is as a thousand years of what you reckon. Quran (22:47)
An example of this is the following hadith:
Anas reported ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) as saying: I and the Last Hour have been sent like this and (he while doing it) joined the forefinger with the middle finger. Muslim
There are many hadiths mentioning that ‘the Last Hour will not appear until such and such’ and we know that those things have already occurred. That means that the Last Hour has already been upon us for well over a thousand years. The Last Hour therefore, is not a single event in time but a quantity of some unknown time that had a beginning and has an end of cycle to it.
The Last Hour now takes on a very important meaning when the following hadiths are used:
Abdullah reported ALLAH’s Apostle (pbh) as saying: The Last Hour would affect (most terribly) the wicked persons. Muslim
Abu Huraira reported ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) as saying: By HIM in Whose Hand is my life, a time would come when the murderer would not know why he has committed the murder, and the victim would not know why he has been killed. Muslim
Just read the news in such an advanced country (worldly-wise) as America! How many people who are able to function in their jobs, even ones that require skill, be so stunningly emptyheaded and bizarrely ignorant and childishly foolish? Just follow the paranoia:
The Flat Earth Society, QANON Conspiracy Theories, Lizard People infiltrating top levels of politics, The Clintons, The Secret Cabal of Cannibals drinking children’s blood, Stop the Steal nonsense, Speaking in Tongues and the list goes on and on especially with some people just killing for no reason at all.
Do they then await (anything) other than the Hour that it should come upon them suddenly? But some of its portents (indications and signs) have already come; and when it is actually on {top of} them {ready to strike}, how can they benefit then by their reminder {for did not the careless make their own choice}? Quran (47:18)
Those people followed their own dispositions and fell into the trap of their own making as was planned for them! Little it is did they care about the struggle to understand. And that is what happens when fanatics are blinded by their own over-the-top lusts!
Say: “Everyone acts according to his own disposition: but your LORD KNOWS BEST who it is that is best guided on the WAY” {the correct pathway as taught by all the prophets including Muhammad (pbh)}. Q (17: 84)
These things occur when the core of morals and rational thinking collapses and the Far Right tries to right the ship in ways that are self-righteous rather than rational and benevolent. People then get confused and disoriented and feel that the only way to survive is to imagine one’s morals to be GOD driven whereas it is exactly the opposite!
The purpose of Comparative Religion when discussing the Abrahamic Religions is to bring about the concept of unity between these religions. After all, the basic idea of the Abrahamic Religions is that we have ONE and ONLY ONE SOURCE and that is our Universal GOD.
What one must logically fight for is the expression that ‘a rose by any other name smells just as sweet’! This gives the perceptive man the feeling that we are all one but differed due to circumstances of corruption bring in mistaken notions and erroneous patterns of behavior or belief systems.
O mankind! WE created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other (not that you may despise (each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of ALLAH is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And ALLAH has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). Quran (49:13)
This corruption did indeed exist and it came from our own hands, our human hands, as indiscrete individuals tried to profit off of such a system. The Old Testament is filled with these admonishments whereby Jewish societies kept sinking down to corrupt levels by having the populace embrace strange and deviant policies that were invented by men and NOT propounded by the ONE GOD through HIS prophets! Just by reading the son of man’s book, the Book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament, one can get that picture.
“Son of man,” HE said to me {through inspiration}, “I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against ME. Ezekiel (2:3)
For I have made you {Ezekiel} a Sign to the house of Israel.” Ezekiel (12:6)
What exactly is True Belief? True Belief goes way beyond mere outward appearances and reflects a reality that many do not like to hear:
Say, O believers, “We believe in ALLAH and what has been revealed to us; and what was {originally} revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; and what was {originally} given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their LORD. We make no distinction between any of them. And to ALLAH we {the real believers} all submit {our wills to HIS WILL so as we hear, we obey}.” Quran (2:136)
In truth, men are not walking robotic machines but flesh and blood covering their spirits and as such are susceptible to the tantalizing possibilities of the world. Indeed, this menagerie of creatures and ideas go on to form what I like to call the ‘La Brea Tar Pit Phenomenon’.
The La Brea Tar Pits, when covered by a downpour, became a beautiful oasis-like lake for animals of all sorts to come and drink and forage. But they soon became trapped and their cries called forth many predators to feast upon them. Soon, the predators became trapped and hunter and prey emerged as hapless victims now engulfed in the loving embrace of deadly tar carrying all entrapped by this formidable sticky goo to their untimely doom.
And put forward to them the example of the life of this world: it is like the rain which WE send down from the sky and the vegetation of the Earth absorbs it and {then} becomes fresh and green. But (later) it becomes dry and broken pieces which the winds scatter {far and wide}. And ALLAH is ABLE to do all things. Quran (18:45)
Let us now do some critical thinking, Comparative Religion-wise, concerning the end time of this age looking forward to the paradise on Earth (Christ’s kingdom given to him by his LORD) followed by the age of destructive evil and then followed by the rising up to Judgment to see who will be placed in the permanent PARADISE in the HEAVENS.
One must remember that a few thousand years must pass for these things to occur. So we must be patient in our understanding rather than glorify ourselves through willful ignorance:
It is said: ‘No one will enter Paradise unless he is a Mu’min’ {a believer and practioner of truth} – part of a hadith from Muhammad (pbh) to ‘Ali extracted from ‘Lives of the Sahaba’ part 8 concerning ‘Ali from Sheikh Yasir Qadhi Lecture Series. Hence, the bringing forth of the New Age (the return of Jesus) where the blessed people will be ‘born again’ of water and the Spirit according to the truthful Messiah we call Jesus the son of Mary!
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly {that is to say that this is a guaranteed fact whether anyone believes it or not}, I say to you, UNLESS one is born of water and the Spirit, he CANNOT enter the KINGDOM of GOD {in the Heavens}. John (3:3-5)
The Christ-soul made it a point because he, after all, is a SIGN to all of mankind that man should follow his way {Jesus’ Way} of thinking meaning that he directly and specifically NEGATES his own will/desire in favor of doing ONLY the WILL of the ONE WHO sent him meaning he is surrendering totally to do the WILL of THE ONE GOD:
I {Jesus} can of {and by} myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is righteous, because I DO NOT SEEK my own will but {I ONLY SEEK} the {PERFECT WILL} of the FATHER {GOD} who sent me. John (5:30)
And hadith –Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (pbh) said: “By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad’s soul is! There is nobody of this Ummah, be they Jewish or Christian, who hears of me and then dies without believing in what I was sent with except that he will be among the people of Hellfire.” (Muslim).
So, now we compare:
If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to ALLAH {the ONE GOD}), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good). Quran (3:85)
And there is none of the People of the Book {Jews, Christians and Muslims} but must believe in him {Jesus – as to his reality} BEFORE his {final} death {meaning all must believe in the truth about him and the WAY of chosen salvation in particular when he returns}; and on the Day of Judgment he will be a witness against them {in deciding who has lied and who is truthful for no sin can enter {the} Paradise {of the sky} and therefore Paradise is only for the Mu’min as was stated earlier}; Quran (4:159)
But there shall by no means enter it {the Paradise of the Heavens} anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life {as to those who receive their scroll in their right hands}. Revelation (21:27)
Or as to what Paul has declared:
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of GOD {in the Heavens}? Do not be deceived. Neither {unrepentant} fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 1Cor. (6:9)
And that HE {GOD} may send Jesus Christ {AGAIN}, who was preached to you before,
Whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which GOD has spoken by the mouth of all HIS holy prophets since the world began {or the starting of prophethood Quran (2:136}.
For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The LORD your GOD will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you {so let him be your true GUIDE}.
And it shall be that every soul who will NOT hear that Prophet {adhere to that Prophet’s Way} shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ Acts (3:20-23)
And he {the Messiah} shall rule them with a ROD of IRON; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. Revelation (2:27)
Now out of his mouth {the Messiah’s mouth} goes a sharp sword, that with it he should strike the nations. And he himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty GOD {in doing HIS WILL}. Revelation (19:15)

The New Awakening will come in the Earthly paradise after the Anti-christ is killed by Jesus the son of Mary and the Gog and Magog peoples have been vanquished by the ONE GOD:
No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know ME, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” Jeremiah (31:34)
None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all shall know ME {the ONE GOD}, from the least of them to the greatest of them.
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews (8:11-12)
These are the things explaining the POWER and Munificence of the ONE GOD over this part of HIS creation and in giving to them the ‘REWARD’ that awaits HIS FAITHFUL WORSHIPERS WHO BRAVED THE WORLD TO DO WHAT WAS RIGHT EVEN AGAINST THE TIDE OF THE UNRIGHTEOUS.
So in this beautiful kingdom on Earth, Jesus (pbh) will rule by the chosen WAY, which is ISLAM, while the Madhi will be like what we can say as the ‘straw-boss’ because Jesus (pbh) has a higher rank than the Madhi on Earth as it is in Heaven by virtue of having been a prophet.
In this worldly paradise, people will be born and die and interred in their graves to await the call for Judgment. The paradise on Earth is NOT forever but will last a thousand years guided by the 12 Caliphs from Quraishi stock and entropy will have set in and eventually the Quran will be removed from this Earth and the last man with a mustard seed’s weight of goodness is taken up leaving only the stubborn-like souls who want to do as they so choose even to senseless slaughter.
‘A’isha reported: I heard ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) as saying: The (system) of night and day would not end until the people have taken to the worship of Lat and ‘Uzza. I said: ALLAH’s Messenger, I think when ALLAH has revealed this verse: “HE it is Who has sent HIS Messenger with right guidance, and true religion, so that HE may cause it to prevail over all religions, though the polytheists are averse (to it)” (Quran 9:33); it implies that (this promise) is going to be fulfilled. Thereupon he (ALLAH’s Apostle) said: It would happen as ALLAH would like. Then ALLAH would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in HIM would die and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them. And they {the people left in the world} would revert to the religion of their forefathers {that is the superstitions and falsehoods created by devious individuals in times gone by as any truth will be raised up and only evil would predominate}. Muslim
Abu Huraira reported ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) as saying: The world would not come to an end until a day would come to the people on which the murderer would not know as to why he has killed and the slain would not know as to why he has been murdered. It would be said: Why would it happen? To which he replied: It would be because of general massacre and bloodshed. And the slaughterers and the slain would be in the Fire, and in the narration of Ibn Aban, the name of Abu Isma’il has been mentioned. (Muslim)
These types of unprincipled people will also breed and life will continue until basically the Kaaba in Makkah is destroyed. And soon after that, all the people will be raised up from their graves, the good and the bad to face the Final Judgment.
Abu Huraira reported ALLAHs Messenger (pbh) as saying: Between the two blowing’s of the trumpet (there would be an interval of forty). They said: Abu Huraira, do you mean forty days? He said: I cannot say anything. They said: Do you mean forty months? He said: I cannot say anything. They said: Do you mean forty years? He said: I cannot say anything. Then ALLAH would cause the water to descend from the sky and they (people) will sprout like vegetables. The only thing in a man which would not decay would be one bone (his tail bone) from which his whole frame would be reconstituted on the Day of Resurrection. (Muslim)
Ibn Taymiyyah said, after quoting the numerous chains reporting Jesus’ being raised to heaven and his descent at the end of time, “These hadith are mutawatir from the Messenger of ALLAH (pbh). They have been narrated from Abu Huraira, Ibn Mas`ud, `Uthman ibn Abu al-as, Abu Umama, al-Nawas ibn Samaan, Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As and Hudhaifa ibn Usaid (may ALLAH be pleased with all of them). These hadith contain indications concerning how and where he will descend.”
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (pbh) said: “By the One in whose hand is my soul, soon the son of Mary will descend upon you as a just judge. He will break the crosses, kill the swine and will put an end to the Jizya. And wealth will spread to the extent that no one will accept it.” Then Abu Huraira said, “Recite if you wish, “There is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him (as only a Messenger of ALLAH) before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection, he (Jesus) will be a witness against them {the rejecters}.” Quran (4:159) (Bukhari and Muslim)
In another narration from Abu Huraira, the Prophet (pbh) said, “How will you be when the son of Mary descends among you and your leader will be from among yourselves?” (Bukhari and Muslim) It is also confirmed in the Sahih hadith from Jabir ibn Abdullah that he heard the Prophet (pbh) say, “A group of people from my Nation will continue to fight in defense of the truth and remain triumphant until the Day of Judgment.” He also said, “Jesus, son of Mary (pbh), will descend upon them and their leader will say (to him), ‘Come and lead us in prayer.’ He will say, ‘No, ALLAH has honored this Nation {Ummah-Islamic Religion} by putting some as leaders over others.'” (Muslim)
This hadith demonstrates that he will descend at the end of time {meaning the end of that Age} and that he will judge according to the Law of our Prophet Muhammad (pbh). They also show, without doubt, that there will be a leader for this nation at that time. Furthermore, there is no contradiction between his descending and the fact that the Prophet Muhammad (pbh) is the Seal of the prophets. This is so because Jesus will not be descending with a new law. To ALLAH belongs the decree, first and last. HE does what HE wills and rules as HE wills. There is none to contradict HIS Rule. HE is the All-Mighty, All-Wise.
So in a very, very condensed manner, here is a hadith that basically describes the situation as it will unfold:
An-Nawwas b. Sam`an reported that ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) made a mention of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He (pbh) sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant (and we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet) in the evening and he read (the signs of fear) in our faces, he (pbh) said:
What is the matter with you? We said: ALLAH’s Messenger, you made a mention of the Dajjal in the morning (sometimes describing him) to be insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think as if he were present in some (near) part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. Thereupon he (pbh) said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the Dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among you, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you, a man must contend on his own behalf and ALLAH would take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). He (Dajjal) would be a young man with twisted, contracted hair, and a blind eye. I compare him to `Abd-ul-`Uzza b. Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Sura Kahf (Chapter 18). He would appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servant of ALLAH! Adhere (to the path of Truth). We said: ALLAH’s Messenger, how long would he stay on the earth? He (pbh) said: For forty days, one day like a year and one day like a month and one day like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: ALLAH’s Messenger, would one day’s prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year? Thereupon he (pbh) said: No, but you must make an estimate of time (and then observe prayer). We said: ALLAH’s Messenger, how quickly would he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he (pbh) said: Like a cloud driven by the wind. He would come to the people and invite them (to a wrong religion) and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it would grow crops. Then in the evening, their pasturing animals would come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then come to another people and invite them to believe in him. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures, and the treasures would come out and collect (themselves) before him like the swarm of bees. Eventually, he would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally) between the archer and his target. He would then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming {with happiness because he knows for sure that this foul individual is indeed the Anti-christ and that after coming back from the death-strike of this Anti-christ, he will be ‘thrown’ into Paradise – my words added to hadith} and it would be at this very time that ALLAH would send Jesus, son of Mary, and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. When he would lower his head, there would fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he would raise it up, beads like pearls would scatter from it. Every non-believer who would smell the odor of his self would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then search for him (Dajjal) until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him. Then a people whom ALLAH had protected would come to Jesus, son of Mary, and he would wipe their faces and would inform them of their ranks in Paradise and it would be under such conditions that ALLAH would reveal to Jesus these words: I have brought forth from amongst MY servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to the top of Mount Tur. And then ALLAH would send Gog and Magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of them would pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them would pass, he would say: There was once water there. Jesus and his companions would then be besieged here (at Tur, and they would be so much hard pressed) that the head of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred dinars and ALLAH’s Apostle, Jesus, and his companions would supplicate ALLAH, Who would send to them insects (which would attack their necks) and in the morning they would perish like one single person. ALLAH’s Apostle, Jesus, and his companions would then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. ALLAH’s Apostle, Jesus, and his companions would then again beseech ALLAH, Who would send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they would carry them and throw them where ALLAH would will. Then ALLAH would send rain which no house of clay or (the tent of) camels’ hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there would grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that, and seek shelter under its skin and a milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch camel would give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that. And at that time {at some certain time in the future after the death of Jesus and the Madhi and the 12 ruling Caliphs appointed from the Quraish as successors to the Madhi – my words added into this lengthy hadith based on other hadiths} ALLAH would send a pleasant wind which would soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim {and this will happen only when the peoples’ faith had been decreased such that the last person of goodness found will have only a mustard seed of goodness in his heart – {my words added into this lengthy hadith based on other hadiths} and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery {and other hideous atrocities – my words added} like asses and the Last Hour would {eventually} come to them. (Muslim)
Abu Huraira reported ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) as saying: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, a time would come when the murderer would not know why he has committed the murder, and the victim would not know why he has been killed. (Muslim) Presumably this is not done out of anger or hatred but done just for the heck of it!
This represents just a capsulated version of events to occur in the future years. It is important to note that this story will stretch out in time for over a few thousand years from now as of this date and time.
Many times people read stuff like the Book of Revelation and it suggests to them a sense of immediacy which is not exactly the case. Either that or they are ‘captivated’ by the garbage spewed out by the false claimants to religion who try and profit from careless or foolish ones who are addicted to crass sensationalism and falsehoods!
