Who does more wrong than those who forge a lie against ALLAH? They will be brought before their LORD, and the witnesses will say, “These are the ones who lied against their LORD! Behold! The curse of ALLAH is on those who do wrong! Q (11: 18)
One of the biggest and most annoying problems found on the internet is the perfidy of remarks past on as ‘scriptural wisdom’. What I mean is that some people use the Internet in ways that they think may be pleasing to GOD but in actuality, due to their misconceived and amateurish notions, give out the wrong information and do so on purpose.
It is a case of the ‘blind following the blind’ and through their actions they hope to turn away ‘believers’ to their own ‘perverted’ philosophies in serving whom they claim to be their ‘god’. A warning has been given to them if they could but understand it:
Say: “Shall WE tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds {actions built up acting as a shield against the punishment of Hell}?
“Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life, while they thought that they were acquiring good by their works.”
They are those who DENY the SIGNS of their LORD {misrepresent what has been stated in the Holy Records} and the fact of their having to meet HIM (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works {to be put on the Scale for protection on the Day of Judgment} nor shall WE, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight. Q (18: 103-105)
These people usually hide out on the Internet and attack the Quran and Islam by offering up what they think are contradictory thoughts garnered from the Quran as opposed to the ‘brilliance’ supposedly taken from their own Holy Books. The trouble is that they don’t even understand their own Holy Writ but they are not alone.
A case in point:
We Muslims believe that ONLY ALLAH CAN FORGIVE SINS. The Christian commentators especially of the Evangelistic-type will gladly point out that Jesus (pbh) did forgive sins and therefore ‘if only GOD can forgive sins, then Jesus must be more than a man. Such logic is mind bogling to say the least.
Is it true that ONLY ALLAH can forgive sins? YES! Now be patient for a while! Is it true that Jesus forgave sins? YES!
Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” Luke (7: 48 )
Yes, it is true. However, the story does not end there. Generally, Christian ‘Bible trumpeters’ don’t really know their own Bible and shred consistencies to pieces as well as acting amateurish when it comes to Comparative Religion and the importance of UNITY BY DESIGN!
Jesus (pbh) was allowed to forgive sins as a SIGN unto the JEWS and even according to the New Testament, there are reasons for this.
One must support one’s ideas through a balanced understanding of scriptures without leaving out important details just because it would torpedo one’s supposed philosophy!
Then will ALLAH say: “O Jesus the son of Mary recount MY FAVOR to you and to your mother. Behold! I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit so that you did speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold, I taught you the Book and Wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel and behold! you made out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, {only} BY MY PERMISSION. And you healed those born blind and the lepers, {only} BY MY PERMISSION. AND behold! You bring forth the dead {to life only} BY MY PERMISSION…” Q (5: 110)
To continue with the appropriate logic:
By myself I {Jesus} can do nothing; I judge ONLY as I hear {WHAT IS IMPARTED TO ME AS REVELATION}, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but HIM who sent me. John (5: 30)
Jesus (pbh) is not lying. He states exactly his position that of his own power and strength he has nothing at all!!! Furthermore:
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except GOD ALONE.” Luke (18: 19)
With some of the Christian’s logic, the above might suggest that if Jesus wasn’t good, then he is probably evil! That half-baked logic is repugnant as well as stupid! But it shows how logically shallow some folks are when they stubbornly try to hold to their dangerous so-called beliefs. Not only that but also their opinion about GOD HIMSELF is actually very low even though they believe it to be very high.*
The Muslim, however, holds ALLAH up to be THE REAL REALITY and THE REAL POWER:
With HIM {ALLAH} are the keys of the Unseen, the treasures that no one knows except HIM. HE knows whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. NOT A LEAF FALLS but with HIS KNOWLEDGE. There is NOT a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered) BUT IS INSCRIBED IN A RECORD CLEAR (to those who can read). Q (6: 59)
Furthermore, the New Testament actually defines, in a way, the ‘forgiveness of sins’ or miracles that Jesus (pbh) was want to do. By inferring that ‘sins’ are the outcome of incorrect behavior (for GOD shall not be mocked, for whatever a man sows that shall he reap; though HE overlooks much – NT; Quran). So, the outward manifestation of such would be the physical aberration appearing against the normal. Hence, the appearance of the deformities or impurities or negativities found in man. For example:
As he {Jesus} went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was BORN blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but {in this special case} this happened so that the works of GOD might be displayed in him”. John (9: 1-3)
So a warning has to be given to those who have abused the New Testament. This also applies to other scriptures but the example here is given specifically to the Christians who may believe that they are correct but who foolishly mistranslate their own works into actually what they, NOT WHAT GOD, has meant. No greater example from their works can be used on them but from one whose works have been fraught with misuderstandings galore -Paul’s writings.
Bear in mind that our LORD’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the {type of particular} wisdom that God gave him. He writes THE SAME WAY in all his letters, speaking in them of these {DIFFICULT} matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, WHICH IGNORANT AND UNSTABLE PEOPLE DISTORT, as they do the other Scriptures, TO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION. Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may NOT be carried away by the error of the lawless {foolish} and fall from your secure position. 2Peter(3:!5-17)
And so it goes!
For the Muslim, he should be aware of the confrontation between Abraham (pbh) and his people concerning their foolish idolatry as a story found in the Quran. They saw their own errors but refused to change out of their ‘comfort zone’ EVEN THOUGH IT BECAME APPARENT THAT THEY WERE BEHAVING FOOLISHLY AND WOULD PAY A GRIEVOUS PRICE FOR THEIR UNGODLY IMPUDENCE. What was important to them was the life in this world and no real inward belief that they would be raised up except if that were so, then they would be honored by their ‘gods’.
And so it goes!
