To be succinct that is what the following means (from start to finish) concerning the history of mankind put in a nutshell. To repeat:
The primordial reason of our establishment (what we find ourselves in) is found in Q (32:72):
Truly, WE {the ONE GOD} did offer Al-Amaanah (the Trust or moral responsibility and ALL the duties which ALLAH ordained {on the ‘vicegerents’ (called gods in the other scriptures) meaning leading spirits before they were going to enter into the flesh} to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains but they declined to bear it and were AFRAID of it {the challenge and responsibility that would lead to their accountability}. But MANKIND bore it {took on the challenge}. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and {quite} ignorant {of its consequences that he would have to bear}. Quran (33:72).
The effect of this is found in Q (40:75):
“YOU HAVE MET THIS FATE because you {carelessly} rejoiced on the earth in things OTHER than the truth, AND THEN EXULTED IN IT.” Quran (40:75)
The result of all of this is found in Quran (9:31):
They take their priests and their anchorites {meaning religious leaders} to be their lords in derogation {in contempt} of ALLAH, and (they take as their LORD) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One GOD: there is no god but HE. Praise and glory to HIM: (Far is HE) from having the partners they associate (with HIM). Quran (9:31).
The result has also been expressed in the New Testament (as well as the Old Testament) by the sentiment:
Do not be deceived, GOD is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians (6:7)
Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity {false assumptions of the self}: for vanity shall be his recompense. Job (15:31)
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. Proverbs (1:31)
As I have observed, those who plow iniquity and those who sow trouble {shall} reap the same. Job (4:8)
This scenario covers mankind from his basic creation in both the spiritual mode and the ‘physical mode’ to the end result meaning that he has a choice and has had a choice since the beginning. All normal thinking entities (the human race, for example) have had contact with the DIVINE in some form or fashion!
Does not the child know his own parents from whence he came? So the human knows his own connection with the DIVINE unless, of course, he throws it away by a self-willed attempt at wanting to be unruly.
This inbuilt creative feature, or whatever one wants to call it, is reflected in societies dwelling on the so-called family tree or family connections. This is shown in Arab culture even from the days of ignorance (Jahiliyah) when family history and connections were held in high honor. It is also a representation of man’s internal belief that there is a DIVINE LORD or CREATOR GOD that exists.
Hence, in general terms, mankind can fit in a small, understandable place as to his wanting to return to his more pristine state with the added addition or benefit of being rewarded beyond all conceivable measure with the PARADISE THAT LASTS FOREVER!
Quran (9:31) is not only about this ‘cycle’ but has applications in general in that mankind in his dark and foolish ignorance will look to find a way out of the dregs of existence they find themselves in by willfully following ‘religious guides’ from witch doctors to priests of all kinds while setting them up as ‘people greatly qualified’ to bring heavenly wisdom and guidance to the fore.
Generally speaking these simple minded people will be directed to a certain lucky charm (medal, medallion, stone or piece of bone, etc.) or god-like character to be worshiped or fawned over. The religious ‘priest’ gets the honor and someone will get the cash based on some medallion sold, water that is blessed, prayers that need be said to certain ‘dead but living’ individuals, etc.
Simple minded people are those who seemingly don’t take the time to read and try and understand their Holy Works and can get roped into incorrect assumptions by individuals who feel attracted to these bizarre pathways and have become deaf, dumb and blind to the reality of truth.
So, religion can be either truthful or a business depending on intent! As one can see, our modern monkeyshines will be dealing with Jesus (pbh) or some other character like that who some worship and worship wrongfully by associating him with the likeness of the ONE GOD. Man’s history is full of this nonsense!
Therefore, the Quran being cyclic in nature has the ability to stretch back in time to the beginning while it covers all important life events at one and the same time. Or as someone once put it, ‘there is nothing new underneath the Sun’!
Explain the ‘Lamb of GOD’ part from the verse, ‘The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of GOD who takes away the sin of the world’! John (1:29)
For the law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. Hebrews (10:1)
Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins {of and by themselves}. Hebrews (10:11)
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
Therefore, when {ever} he {the Christ-soul} came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering YOU {O GOD} did not desire, but a body YOU have prepared for me.
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin YOU had no pleasure.
Then I {the Christ-soul} said, ‘Behold, I have come— In the volume of the book it is written of {about} me— To do YOUR WILL, O GOD.’ ” Hebrews (10:4-7)
The LORD GOD has opened my ears, and I {the Christ-soul} have not been rebellious, nor have I turned back {from this saintly quest}. Isaiah (50:5)
Jesus saith unto them, my meat {duty} is {but} to do the WILL OF HIM that sent me, and to finish HIS work {as to the promises HE HIMSELF MADE to the BELIEVERS (HIS PEOPLE)}. John (4:34)
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but {do} according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will pile up for themselves teachers;
And they shall turn away their ears from the {real} truth, and shall be turned unto fables {and flights of fancy to occupy their time}. 2 Timothy (4:3-4)
As to what the Prophet (pbh) said (hadith) concerning the fact that a good deal of men have become perfect but only four women have done so… In that hadith understanding we find one of the ‘perfect ones’ being chosen to be in that capacity that will become known as the ‘MESSIAH’.
Therefore, this person will have to be by necessity especially refined by GOD HIMSELF so as to enter into that blessed office:
Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and to cause him to suffer; and when his soul is made a guilt offering, he will see his offspring {what is given unto him of the ‘Faithful’ for he is made as the good shepherd}, HE {GOD} will prolong his days, and the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in his hand {as will be seen in the Islamic kingdom that will be installed on Earth such that ALL will believe and follow him – all who have faith – and therefore all will believe in him before he dies (Quran)}. Isaiah (53:10)
The sin of the world according to reality is ‘the being out of touch with real faith and faithful living in surrendering one’s self to the CREATOR LORD’. So, in that earthly kingdom to come there will be a reuniting of the spiritual WAY with the actual way of life and hence we have that paradise on Earth for as long as it will last.
So, this man (just a normal man like you or I) who became, according to hadith, ‘perfect’ was then chosen not by himself for of himself he could do absolutely nothing but was chosen by GOD WHO is THE WITR and HE loves ONENESS as in the REFLECTION of HIS ONENESS! Therefore, we will find ONE FAITH, ONE PEOPLES, ONE BROTHERHOOD OF PROPHETS and above all ONE AND ONLY ONE GOD – ALLAH!!!
This is the message found in the Quran!
Is Matthew (24:34), which has been decried by many theologians, a forgery or is it correct?
Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Matthew (24:34)
Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste {their final} death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” Matthew (16:28)
Truly I tell you, all these things will come upon this generation. Matthew (23:36)
It is correct when one considers that ‘this generation’ like any peoples has its own ‘term of appointment’ or when they shall have no more chances to right their ship (soul) so to speak. Then comes (eventually) the raising up to face THE JUDGMENT!
To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation).
O you Children of Adam! Whenever there come to you Messengers from amongst you, rehearsing MY signs unto you, those who are righteous and mend (their lives), on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve {in the grave or the Last Day}.
But those who reject OUR SIGNS and treat them with arrogance, they are companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (forever). Quran (7:34-36)
Context always matters and it is the first thing that gets thrown out of the house when one’s ego takes over.
So turn to ALLAH THE MOST GRACIOUS THE MOST MERCIFUL!!!
