The Old Testament clearly defines that the RELIGIOUS LAW or standard of the faith shall remain in the hands of those who call themselves Jews only until the time of SHILOH. Then and only then will a NEW LAW (TESTAMENT) BE GIVEN!
The scepter {religious standard of faith} shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; and {then} to him shall be the obedience of the people {such that his Law shall be the Law that the people shall be ruled by} Genesis (49:10)
This thought is further enhanced from the Book of Hebrews stating:
For where a testament is {paradigm change}, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator Heb. (9: 16)
Jesus (pbh), whether he slept in a deep, rem-like sleep for 3 hours (at-Tabari) or 7 hours does not matter in this case because a deep sleep is not ‘THE DEATH’ as the person in this sleep has his soul returned to the body. Hence, by definition, Jesus (pbh) did not die and therefore, he by virtue of the law given in the Book of Hebrews, did not bring in a new type of testament.*
{*He was raised up from the tomb for accountability as all men are. This accountability was his judgment as he completed his ‘test’ and was successful as to the one who was to become the Messiah. Hence, he returned to that type of dominating ‘spirit’ that he was when he was created before his legendary fall.
Those castigating Jews who perverted things due to their own prejudices were also on trial and their actions were judged as either righteous or evil in slandering Mary the mother of Jesus (pbh) and the personage of Jesus himself as would be their right of trial in a system built by ALLAH that would be completely free of errors.
Naturally, Jesus (pbh) won out over the liars and he was sent back to the earthly abode (a time period lasting 40 days – Book of Acts) ** to settle the issues concerning THE WAY and to fulfill his duties so that the Apostles could be made certain about the phenomenon of the Non-Crucifixion and the way to advance this form of ‘new’ Judaism forward.
Hence, the real Last Super as depicted in the Quran and somewhat in the New Testament together with various appearance of Jesus (pbh) to those qualified as stalwart Presbyters. For in this case, seeing is believing!
{** To whom also he {Jesus} showed himself ALIVE after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them {for} forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of GOD: Acts (1:3)
Now when he {Jesus} had spoken these things, while they watched, he was taken up {body and soul} and a cloud received him out of their sight.
And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men {two angels} stood by them in white apparel,
Who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw him go into heaven.” Acts (1:9-11)
Jesus (pbh) first rose up with the one who was crucified and thus the promise was fulfilled in that ‘THIS {VERY SAME} DAY’ you will be with me in Paradise’ – not after three days and three nights.
And Jesus said to him {the man who took his place on the cross – Simon the Cyrenian}, “Assuredly, I say to you, TODAY you will be with me in Paradise.” Luke (23:43).
This time element of ‘this day’ (today) would change to another day and prove Jesus (pbh) wrong if it occurred after sunset of the day that that person was taken down from the cross due to the fact that it would NOT THEN BE THIS DAY but rather the NEXT DAY and this is based on Semitic timings (as the day changes when sundown strikes) and not modern Western timings (when the change of day occurs only at the stroke of midnight).
The only thing that remains a mystery***, however, and must wait until he returns is what happened inside the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights to absorb such attention from Jesus (pbh). His soul (not his body) was sent forth to the heavens as is a person undergoing a deep, meditative sleep while his body remained in the tomb.
However, when he left the tomb exactly when he said he was going to, the tomb remained empty. Did some type of absorption take place with the other body? Since we don’t know the dynamics of what a freed and a judged soul can do, it is not profitable to state with any convincing authority that such and such actually happened.
Why a free and a judged soul? Simply because he has succeeded in what was put on him from his beginning. In other words, his prophethood was over and he now awaits the time he will be sent back to ‘claim his own’ in the Islamic kingdom he shall inherit (Isaiah (53:10 -12) as in the great and joyful kingdom given to him for a job well done!!!!!}
{***The similitude of Jesus (pbh) being able to change ‘positions’ in front of the people is likened to Prophet Muhammad (pbh) being with his friend Abu Bakr in front of the Kabbah when confronted by the wrathful, then disbelieving woman Hind, who did not see him at all! Or the similitude of Muhammad (pbh) when he walked out of the house surrounded by his would be assassins and they did not even see, hear or sense him.
And this is told of, if we could but see the connection, no matter how distant, in the Gospel of John when Jesus declares:
However, when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and he will declare to you what is to come.
He will glorify me {tell the truth about me}, for he will take of what is mine and declare {show} it to you. John (16:13-14)
However, it is not in error to quote Quran (4:157-158) as that is completely true and unassailable.
That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of ALLAH”; but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them {that they did}, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:
Nay, ALLAH raised him up unto HIMSELF; and ALLAH is EXALTED in POWER, WISE. Quran (4:157-158)}
What he (Jesus) brought were directional changes or fixes to those who were not bull-headed in disobedience to the ONE GOD. Think of that as an upgrade to the Old Testament. This addition to the Old Testament can be called the Ingeel in Arabic.
(I {Jesus} have come to you), to attest {proclaim so that you may obey} the Law which was before me {given unto Moses}. And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your LORD. So fear ALLAH, and obey me. Quran (3:50)
This makes the Quran the actual NEW TESTAMENT (or as some say ‘The Good News’) by logic and by verses Biblical and Quranic!
The similitude of these events is like the GOD-ordered ORIGINAL Day of Prescribed Worship! Originally it was on a Friday but the Jews changed it to be on a Saturday and the Christians changed it further to be on a Sunday.
Or it is like the months prescribed when fighting amongst the Arabs was prohibited! The pagan Arabs willfully messed up the months in their ignorant and childish whims so that the knowledge of these months became lost. Only when Prophet Muhammad (pbh) came did they (the original months established by GOD) become known again.
This shows and reinforces the idea that it is man’s proclivity, as shown throughout history, to alter (change) things according to his soul’s lust, desire or position. That is, history as well as the Holy Books can be altered as well as their meanings by corrupt individuals seeking self-glorification!
It didn’t start with Hitler and it won’t end with Putin but this concept of ‘remaking history’ in order to fit in one’s personal philosophy is a typical ploy used by the unscrupulous in order to achieve a ‘favorable narrative’ which can be used to further enhance that individual’s so-called place in history.
That place in history is self-created and doesn’t really exist but is only a mirage which will be used in the Judgment of that soul in condemning it to the depths of Hell. Oh! How they outwit themselves at every turn and like the Quran says that NOW, while they are in Hell, they are willing to confess their sins but it is too late!
For those who reject their LORD (and Cherisher) is the chastisement of Hell; and evil is such a destination.
When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth.
Almost bursting with furry: every time a GROUP is cast therein, its keepers {Wardens – Angelic wardens put in charge of this hideous place} will ask, “Did no Warner come to you?”
They will say: “Had we but listened {and obeyed that message} or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!”
They will then confess their sins: but far from ALLAH’s Mercy are the Companions of the Blazing Fire!
As for those who fear their LORD unseen, for them is FORGIVENESS and a GREAT REWARD.
And whether you hide your word/ {deeds} or make it known, HE certainly has (full) Knowledge of the secrets of (all) hearts.
Should HE not know – HE that created? And {truly} HE is THE SUBTLE, THE AWARE. Quran (67:6-14)
So, they spent their time on Earth in preening themselves and actually did achieve, with ALLAH’s Permission, some form of status but at the expense of eternity! A poor bargain if they but really knew.
Know your religion for it is like a shield of honor. Go against this honor and you go against your pledge – Quran (33:72). Go against your pledge and you have rejected your own souls with only yourselves to blame!
As to the New Testament’s claim about the ‘Good News’:
Now after John the Baptist (pbh) was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the KINGDOM of GOD {those who will enter Paradise upon the Final Judgment}!
And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the KINGDOM of GOD is at hand {draws close}. Repent, and believe in the gospel {MEANING: GOOD NEWS}.” Mark (1:14-15).
This ‘GOOD NEWS’ comes about when Jesus (pbh) fulfills his duty in being that life of perfection so that the door can be opened for the coming of the Promised One who is Prophet Muhammad (pbh) (Shiloh) who will bring that TESTAMENT/WAY OF LIFE to be the formative type religion (ISLAM) that ALL will believe in after the Second Coming of Jesus the Christ-soul.
Like growing things you plant – they grow in their season and not before or after so patience is key. That is one reason why no non-Muslim tax can be collected. How is it possible to collect a non-Muslim tax when there won’t be any non-Muslims in this Earthly paradise?
The Quran has been guaranteed to be 100% free of error in its original Arabic form and represents the ‘last stage’ of Revelation to be given. Think what one wills but Zephaniah (3:9-10) and several Quranic statements together with the knowledge about the Spirit of truth as a ‘cleansing Spirit’ truly gives credence to this universal concept.
So, the ‘GOOD NEWS’ should be interpreted in part as the coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbh) as well as the introduction to the WAY which will be universally established in the Christ kingdom or the transient paradise on Earth. This kingdom is for the various stages of belief in a ‘central system’ going from the best and greatest Believers to the moderate believers to the hangers on and then that kingdom will be lifted up and in its place will be a type of chaotic hell on Earth as described by the Prophet (pbh) as to peoples’ unruly behavior and ‘animalistic tendencies’.
