They are deceived or they try to deceive
An example of some of the original deceptive* translated verses as found in the Bible of today:
*In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John (1: 1-4)
Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I said, you are Gods?
If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Say you of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, you blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of God? John (10: 34-36)
These deceptive verses have their beginnings with early church history under the influence of those false philosophers and false Gnostic teachings found even before 100 AD, long after most of the original disciples were no more, but certainly propagated into church dogma sometime during the early and middle parts of the second century. Please refer back to the article, Islam and the Rise and Fall of the Teachings of Jesus. How do we know this? From many ways is the truth found but throwing it up to those who try and deceive is the expression of, “The Bible tells us so.” That may sound like an insult or a puzzle but that happens to be the truth! It is not an insult but a fact. The Bible tells us of many ‘gods’ and that even the evil Satan is called ‘god of this world’.
2 Peter (3: 16-17) found in the New Testament clearly speaks of matters that have occurred and will occur as to the ‘cheaters of deception’. Yes, it is true that these verses speak about the goodly man Paul as to being difficult to understand but the message is about a class of people who have become bewitched by Satan and will try to PERVERT SCRIPTURE to their own liking and therefore they are strongly condemned and cursed!
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are UNLEARNED AND UNSTABLE WREST, AS THEY DO ALSO THE OTHER SCRIPTURES, UNTO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION.
You therefore, beloved, seeing you KNOW THESE THINGS BEFORE, BEWARE LEST YOU ALSO, BEING LED AWAY WITH THE ERROR OF THE WICKED, fall from your own steadfastness.
So, the Bible when understood does give lessons as well as warnings so that those who study these words as they should be studied will by His Will become aware of the truth and will be led to the truth. As far as accepting the truth or how much one can live up to the truth that is not in man’s hands for there is no light where Allah places no light!
Some people would believe that being a ‘god’ of this world would imply that The God controls all things except this world. However, that is just pure nonsense and the meaning for this verse found in Corinthians is that Satan is a force to be reckoned with because he is a deadly enemy to mankind even though he controls nothing and is in reality not in control of anything. Yet he is a force that is destructive when those who go down that pathway are ‘charmed’ away from the truth and thus are led into error. That is, the error that their hearts lust for – and it is given to them because they desired it and reveled or rejoiced in it and so they are given it but are deceived. These are expressions found in the New Testament from Paul and in the Quran of which is repeated in several of my books.
Any Holy Scripture worth its weight has within its pages checks and balances that coordinate truth and separate it from fiction.
First, it must be established for purity sake that the original language of that certain scripture is not broken. That is, that the original version descending by Revelation has been kept alive as a living language and has been kept pure. The Bible, both the Old and New Testament, are basically products of Koine Greek as related in encyclopedias and not the language that it was originally sent down. Even though the original language is gone, there is another step that one can take to reach the truth and that is the ‘internal’ proofs found in the manuscripts such that they agree in conformity with all valid scriptures and with the validity found within that particular scripture.
All that means is that the New Testament will not go against either the Old Testament or the Quran. Also, the thing that is important is that the New Testament will not go against itself. Unfortunately, there are subtle turns and twists found in the New Testament which cause one to ponder. For example, Judas Iscariot died. How did he die? The New Testament gives two versions of his death (by suicide and by bursting apart). Certainly any normal person cannot miss the notion that he died in only one of the ways presented. However, he did die and that is that.
Since we are left with Koine Greek which Jesus (pbh) did not speak, we just have to deal with it and see what comes up. It is not and never was a language of Divine Revelation but still that is what we have and that is what we have to work with.
Some people, who claim the New Testament is pure and was kept pure by the faithful transmitters of doctrine, have been deceived. These people would have one believe that just a label of being Christian is proof that men did not tamper with the scriptures. That thought does not even deserve a reply as it is in the realm of fantasy. All hope is not gone, however, when the rules of honesty in scriptural analysis are applied.
There are two distinct and separate words used in this Greek Language applied to the meanings found in English to the words ‘God’ and ‘god’. These words are ho-theos and ton-theos. Is the Greek word for God with a capitol ‘G’ (ho-theos), the same as the Greek word used for god with a small ‘g’ (ton-theos), letter for letter with no difference in pronunciation or writing? The answer is no! Enough gibberish has been written about the article ‘the’ and the article ‘a’ in Greek grammar concerning the ho-theos and the ton-theos to make a person’s head spin. However, the bottom line still remains concerning these two words. The question is, “Do these two words sound exactly alike and are they pronounced exactly the same? Again, the answer is no!
John 1: 1 declares Jesus to be ‘god’ with a small letter ‘g’ in deference to the One and Only God with the capitol letter ‘G’. The verses found in John 10: 34-36) further clarifies the situation in stating that there are many ‘gods’. So, Christianity is now in deep trouble in being caught out on a limb by misrepresenting Jesus (pbh). The fact that John 1: 1 in English ends with the word ‘God’ with a capitol ‘G’ is a complete falsehood and fraud perpetrated on an unaware audience and this is NOT represented by the Koine Greek readings of John 1: 1.
Furthermore, according to their scriptures, Jesus (pbh) is one and only one of the ‘gods’ which in turn gives such a pagan influence to the church’s doctrines. Since Koine Greek is not nor never has been a language of Divine Scripture, one must go to Divine Scripture in its originally revealed language for the purpose of finding out what is the correct terminology to be used in place of the term ‘god’ with a small ‘g’.
According to the verses found in Zep (3: 9-10) and the verses found in the Quran, Q (18: 1-2) and Q (41: 41-42) stating that the Quran is protected by the One God as He will not allow any crookedness therein and that the Quran is the “Pure and Preserved” Word of the One God is still found in its original Divinely sent language. Therefore, if John 1: 1 is a universal truth, it will be found in the Quran and Old Testament also but with qualifications. Those qualifications simply mean that the ‘truth’ of the statement is found but the expressions may be somewhat different because of different languages used. That is, the concept will be the same – in any language but the expressions may vary.
The word found in the Quran in Quranic Arabic and then translated into English is not ‘god’ or ‘gods’ but ‘vicegerent’. What is a vicegerent? A vicegerent is one who is in a position of power and authority in the ‘lower’ world (heaven) as a caretaker of Allah’s system with ministering help coming from the angels in maintaining and in ‘singing’ the praises of Allah in coordination with obedience to His Divine Will. Hence, the angels of the lower heaven submitted to man in the beginning as even the Angels bowed down to man’s father Adam (pbh). The lower heaven here is the visible universe and its laws.
To have a primitive notion of what that means one should read pages 9-34 in the book, The Great Sacrifice of Jesus the Christ. Also of interest would be the book, He Is Not My Ancestor.
As to the definition of the ‘Word’ there are many definitions and some of these definitions we do not even know. The Word can be called Scripture as in Holy Books. It can be called His Divine Plan or even His Divine Expression such that all He needs to do is say “Be” and that which He Wills “Becomes”. It can even be called Messengers as in the Prophets who came in the flesh to teach man to turn away from folly and towards the heavenly Light.
For example, ask a Christian to hand you the Word of God and he will hand you the Bible. Does he proclaim that he is handing over Jesus to a person? God forbid that one drops that book on the floor only to hear the Christian say that you dropped Jesus (pbh) on the floor. Therefore, it is proven that the Word can have several meanings.
And the New Testament even admits that Jesus (pbh) is the ‘chief cornerstone’ so what do we have here? We have the knowledge that there are other cornerstones and he is not the only one. He is chief as being the returnable Messiah in inheriting a worldly kingdom which by the way will not last forever – on the Earth.
So, it has been shown how some people try and deceive the unknowledgeable through common tricks but what else can one learn from (John 1: 1) as it would apply to all the Holy Records? In The Beginning is a phrase that can mean in the beginning of time or in the beginning of creation of man. A careful study of the records shows that God existed before the creation of one of His servants called time which was created before man even existed. Therefore, God existed BEFORE the beginning! That is to say that before the beginning there was God and nothing was before Him or with Him!
The Word was ‘god’ also carries with it various meanings. As was said before, one meaning is that of (vicegerent) because of their leadership role as to the lower heaven and Earth in implementing what they were allowed to implement. This is too complicated to explain under any circumstances that would make complete sense but this idea is backed up by various verses found in the Old Testament, New Testament and the Quran.
Then came the destruction or the falling away of those vicegerents into evil as they tried to overthrow the harmony of the kingdom that they were given and tried to replace God’s Will with their own will. Of course that action is utterly absurd but no matter how powerful a ‘god’ thinks of himself, he is only a wretched fool to think that he could outwit his Creator Lord and escape punishment.
This then is the first falling away and each age has had its same failings but in a diluted form. For the first vicegerents were terrible and terrifying to behold with power unthinkable in modern terms having no need for any technology at all but spoke directly to the angels in uttering their commands. And because, as one of the Companions (Ubayy bin Kaab) of the Prophet (pbh) said, “All of mankind was assembled in separate groups giving them the understanding that they were to be made vicegerents on Earth while imparting their wisdom and understanding, i.e. granting them power such that each individual (would be) completely and fully responsible for their actions.” So, each group that would appear gets less spiritual-powered and more physical and hence the need for technology to accomplish what before was done by command before as in our present era or age being the Fourth Age of man.
The Old Testament which provides some clues of man’s past (but not much) seems to discuss in its beginnings only the Third Age of man in giving hints as to when ‘giants’, as in giant animals, walked the face of the Earth. For example, a beaver at those times could grow as large as a utility van or so the fossil records show.
Then there are the so-called sons of God or if one prefers the so-called term ‘gods’ coming into the daughters of men and what that means can be best left up to the reader’s imagination but it doesn’t bode well for those so-called sons of God as the Old Testament goes on to discuss the massive corruption sown on Earth in those days. Of those days we have only what amounts to as whispers and legends. These legends are partially discussed in the book, The Holy Grail: The Messiah on Trial.
When their term of appointment is up that is, when each group’s term limit has been decided by Him Who Controls all things, they are called back and held in confinement while another group enters into ‘life’ as a test placed before them. The tendency is that man not only grows shorter from that of the first of creation but he also has his life expectancy cutback. Nevertheless, we can see that man keeps repeating his falling away as did the first group. Man has shown in every age that he is a vicegerent by trying to control things, dominate things, plan things, and overthrow things and generally making a nuisance of himself on this planet.
A good way to explain this is from the ‘Russian doll’ example. One is presented with a doll and upon opening it up one finds another doll identical to the first one but smaller of course. This can continue doll upon doll until one is holding a minute miniature replica of the first doll. Hence, the dilution as the cycle continues by way of the expression that Allah does not change His Ways.
As for John 1: 3-4 it is best understood when the English language is attuned to reality. It should read thusly:
All things were made by HIM {The One Creator Lord}; and without HIM {The One God} was not anything made that was made.
In HIM {the One God, the Author of All Life} was LIFE; and that Life {Giver} was the Light {shown to- all} men.
The use of brackets { } shows my words being inserted into the text to make it more meaningful as well as to bring forth the coordination of the scriptures.
The above expression takes out the ambiguity of what is being translated from above. Furthermore, there is NO LIFE OR ANY SENSE TO LIFE WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FIRST COMMANDMENT. This first commandment which is repeated many times in the Quran in various wordings including the ONLY REASON why Man and Jinn were created is the commandment by which all life itself hangs. Man does a disservice to himself and dishonors his Creator by trying to teach contrary ways, spread falsehood or subvert the truth.
Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I {God} said, you {sons of Adam} are gods {created in his form {Adam’s Form and Likeness by which all men came forth}?
If He {God} called them gods, unto whom the word {message} of God came, and the scriptures cannot be broken;
Say you of him {me}, whom the Father has sanctified {blessed and made perfect and sent as His servant into the world}, you blaspheme against God because I {Jesus} proclaimed that I am {one of those sons of light} from God? John (10: 34-36)
Once again I am using brackets { } to make things clear.
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was {god}.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by {Him – God}; and without {Him – God} was not anything made that was made.
In {Him – God} was {true} Life; and that Life was the Light of men if they chose to follow it. John (1: 1-4)
The above interpretation is the Islamic interpretation and the records are ONE!
Man has no conception about the earliest of times when mankind was originally one nation and tried to overthrow the ‘Rule of God’ nor can he begin to imagine what a true vicegerent is really like. That, however, is not necessary for salvation. Even though it is not necessary we do have such spotty proofs to what the result was and this still confuses man to this day!
Although man constantly tries to control time in his imagination, he becomes overwhelmed and perplexed by things that are way beyond his control. Terrible have been the punishments leveled out to the arrogant ones who believed that they had power of and by themselves such that with impunity they could ignore THE LIVING GOD! The fossil record, whether man believes it or not, has given us some indications of how those so-called ‘gods’ were humiliated.
That, however, opens up the proverbial ‘can of worms’ and man is in no position to wander off the pathway and if he were to do so, there is no guarantee that he would get back on the true pathway again. No, it is better to keep one’s feet on solid ground and believe and trust in Him Who is the Everliving – The One Who never dies!
It has been proven over and over again that the ‘solid ground’ is not man-made doctrine of which most of it is foolish but rather the sayings and practices of the original teacher which is by definition a prophet. Those who are wise understand that no less a personage as Jesus the Messiah (pbh) as well as Moses (pbh) and others discussed the advisability of turning their hearts to the last and final Messenger from Allah (pbh).
Upon these verses, (John 1: 1-4), ‘modern’ Christianity hangs. But Christianity is not greater than the Word of God and upon the honest search for the light of truth does man’s fate hang in the balance. And in nowise would men who worship in truth but still are imperfect as they commit sins go forth to oppose the One God. For why would the One God punish man for compliance to His Will? Rather He punishes man for selfish desires that go against His Will. And never did the One God desire man to go forth and revel in self-destruction. But man being likened as a ‘god’ from his own warped mind, went forth to condemn himself.
Who does more wrong than one who invents a lie about God as the Quran says? The criminality of certain men who claim to love God cannot be hidden from those who truly think.
The great disservice done by those who intend to make mischief on this Earth can be uncovered with a careful inspection of the Holy Scriptures. However, one should not think that uncovering certain deceptions will cause massive numbers of people to change their attitudes. Because some people have become accustomed to certain ‘philosophies’ or they feel comfortable under false knowledge, why should they change? In other words, why should a person care for ‘truth’ or even seek it out when they are happy and comfortable with their own philosophy?
The job of any normal person is to speak the truth plainly, be courteous and move on with one’s life. If stuck in a challenge, as in not getting anywhere, remind the person of one thing:
Say: O you that reject Faith!
I worship not that which you worship,
Nor will you worship that which I worship.
And I will not worship that which you have been used to worship
Nor will you worship that which I worship. Q (109: 1-5)
