How can Jesus (pbh) be a SIGN unto ALL of mankind? Directly answering that question one goes to the hadith that forms a connection to this issue. That hadith declares that the ‘successful ones’ or those entering Paradise in the heavens will be like their father (the one whom they are molded after) ADAM in various ways which we should NOT pretend to fully understand.
Even the Christ-soul declared:
Jesus declared: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will {be able to} do also; and GREATER works than these {what I showed on Earth} he will do {when he wins entrance to Paradise in the Heavens}, because I go to my FATHER {THE CREATOR LORD having accomplished the goals that HE set out for me}.” John (14:12).
So, this is a complicated question such that on Earth Jesus (pbh) did some truly amazing things which on this planet are really amazing for men of the flesh and certainly Jesus (pbh) was a man of the flesh:
“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested by GOD to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which GOD did through him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—
Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of GOD, you have taken by lawless {criminal} hands, {TO BE} have*crucified, and {FOR THE PURPOSE OF PUTTING him} to death; Acts (2:22-23)
{*I contend that this word ‘have’ is a forgery as I have proven through these various works that indeed no one including any man, jinn or angel could, by correct prophecy, have killed Jesus (pbh) by any way or means as he was guaranteed protection by his GOD:
“Therefore my FATHER loves me, because I lay down my life THAT I MAY TAKE IT {UP} AGAIN.
NO ONE {under any condition} takes it from me, but I lay it down of {and by} myself. I have {been given as a gift the} power to lay it down, and I have {been given the} power to take it {up} AGAIN. This command {gift} I have received from my FATHER.” John (10:17-18)}
And ({I will} appoint him {Jesus}) a Messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): “I have come to you, with a Sign from your LORD, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by ALLAH’s PERMISSION: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by ALLAH’s PERMISSION; and I declare to you what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if you did believe.” Quran (3:49)
So, he is a SIGN and acting as yet another SIGN also. All prophets are given signs to show that they are truthful carriers of a message from on HIGH! Jesus (pbh) has a further distinction as he is the true Messiah of being a SIGN to the human race (he does after all ‘return’ as himself) which we also find in ADAM as ADAM acts as a successful ‘mold’ for all of humanity.
But in Adam’s case, (so here is the lesson) hasn’t yet overcome the world so one doesn’t get PARADISE handed to him on a silver platter doing nothing and accomplishing less!
So, there is the test! That test is to do as he did and that is to humble oneself and bow down one’s own will to the WILL OF THE CREATOR LORD!!!
Truly, WE {the ONE GOD} did offer Al-Amaanah (the Trust or moral responsibility and ALL the duties which ALLAH ordained {on the ‘vicegerents’ (called gods in the other scriptures) but better known as leading spirits before they were going to enter into the flesh} to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains but they declined to bear it and were AFRAID of it {the challenge and responsibility that would lead to their accountability}. But MANKIND bore it {took on the challenge}. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and {quite} ignorant {of its consequences that he would have to bear}. Quran (33:72).
Therefore, all souls who go through this journey in some form or another, which again we do not have to know about, have broken their own sacred covenant taken by them, long, long ago. So, we need all of us together a SAVIOR to bail us out of our difficulties because we are not perfect and we were created for the purpose of turning to HIM, our LORD in praise, as is declared in the Old Testament:
I, even I, am the LORD {the CREATOR of the Heavens and the Earth}, and besides ME there is NO SAVIOR. Isaiah (43:11) Also, in the Old Testament:
I {GOD} said, “You are gods {vicegerents}, and All of you {humans} are sons {high spirits whom GOD gave flesh to} of the MOST HIGH {GOD}.
“Nevertheless {All of you so-called sons (servants of the LIGHT)} you will die like men {in the physical shell (body) even though your created station be high} and fall {just} like any one of the princes {who came before you such that on Earth you will be but physical men under the physicality of earthly conditions}.” Psalm (82:6-7)
If truth be told, then ONE TRUISM is certain: For all the peoples there is only ONE AND CAN BE ONLY ONE GOD, ONE body of prophets, ONE group of believers from beginning to end, and the religious records from these communities are ONE! No matter what slop people have thrown up against these records, they still, if read correctly, are ONE!
Narrated Abu Huraira:
ALLAH’s Messenger said, “The first group of people who will enter Paradise {in the Heavens}, will be glittering like the full moon and those who will follow them, will glitter like the most brilliant star in the sky. They will not urinate, relieve nature, spit, or have any nasal secretions. Their combs will be of gold, and their sweat will smell like musk. The aloes-wood will be used in their centers. Their wives will be houris. All of them will look alike and will resemble their father Adam (in stature) {we are from Adam and Adam is from us}, sixty cubits tall {approximately 90 feet tall}.” (Bukhari)
So, he is a SIGN of those times yet he also is a SIGN for the coming of the DAY of JUDGMENT and DURING THAT JUDGMENT PERIOD! SIGN upon SIGN:
(I have come to you), to attest the Law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was (before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a SIGN from your LORD. So fear ALLAH, and obey me. Quran (3:50) AND:
ALLAH {on the Day of Judgment when all the sons of Adam will be gathered together} will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Did you say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation {contempt} of ALLAH’?” He will say: “Glory to YOU! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, YOU would indeed have known it. YOU know what is in my heart though I do not know what is in YOUR HEART. For YOU {and ONLY YOU} know in full ALL that is hidden.” Quran (5:116)
And there we have in him (the Christ-soul) a hope for our future success if we do not become haughty (proud) but work on restraining our souls to do good and avoid evil for the sake of ALLAH as he did!
And the best way of doing that is to turn to the Spirit of truth in accepting the guidance and proper way of worship as was given to him – Prophet Muhammad (pbh) the true and wonderful prophet to the whole world including the Gentiles!
“Behold! MY Servant whom I uphold, MY Elect One in whom MY soul {MY BEING} delights! I have put MY Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.”**Isaiah (42:1)
{**Remember that at that time of prophet Isaiah (pbh) there were only two kinds of people in the world. The Jewish world and the Gentile world! And the Gentile world tended to be paganist in values and worship; being of those who were cut off from salvation due to their hideous practice of worshiping more than one GOD!}
In order for there to be a SIGN to mankind, there has to be a demonstrateable objective (a sacrifice) which is not necessarily to be known or broadcast amongst men but which must be accomplished. Nothing worth having in life is free! And this is described in the Christian New Testament (Hebrews 10:4-9).
Things like this often divide peoples and can cause them to ‘go off the rails’ on account of their soul-craving lusts which man is, being a high being or high creation, still responsible for:
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness {found} in them that perish {to the HELL-FIRE due to what is in the secret recesses of the heart or that seat of blessedness of the soul}; because they did NOT receive {believe in or fight for} the love of the truth that they might be saved.
And for this cause {contempt for GOD’s TRUTH so that they will be rejected by GOD} GOD shall send {upon} them STRONG DELUSION that they should believe {in} a lie {focus not on doing what is right – the real food for the soul}:
That they all might be damned {to the Hell-Fire} who didn’t believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness {took their comfort in doing other than the truthful WAY with the highest example of believing in joining partners with GOD}. 2 Thessalonians (2: 10-12) – words accredited to Paul.
“You have met this {particular} fate because you rejoiced on the earth in things OTHER THAN THE TRUTH, and then EXULTED {REVELED} in it.” Q (40:75)
If a person has striven by selfishness with all strivings beyond rhyme or reason for the lusting after false gods and false ideals, then he can be ‘rewarded’ by being held in the contemptable way he has so mightily chosen to hang onto and which he lusted after versus the ‘straight way’ he refused to partake of as he was pre-warned of this. Or he can be more or less protected by his LORD by refusing to be a fanatic bearer of falsehoods!
For WE assuredly sent amongst every People {without exception} a messenger, (with the Command), “Serve ALLAH, and eschew Evil”: of the People were some whom ALLAH guided, and some on whom error became inevitably {due to their mindset} (established). So travel through the earth, and see what the end was of those who denied (the Truth). Quran (16:36)
The opposite must also be true. Hence, we now can understand the following hadith better:
Abu Huraira said: ‘The people said, “O ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh)! Who is the most honorable amongst the people (in ALLAH’s Sight)?” He said, “The most righteous amongst them.” They said, “We do not ask you, about this.” He said, “Then Joseph, ALLAH’s Prophet, the son of ALLAH’s Prophet, The son of ALLAH’s Prophet the son of ALLAH’s Khalil (i.e. Abraham).” They said, “We do not want to ask about this,” He said’ “Then you want to ask about the descent of the Arabs***. Those who were the best in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance will be the best in Islam PROVIDED THEY COMPREHENDED THE RELIGIOUS KNOLWEDGE.” Bukhari
And the Arabs are human beings so this hadith fits human beings because Muhammad (pbh) is not just a prophet for the Arabs but for mankind as whole! This being the case, these concepts must fit across the board!
{*** Due to the ‘CONCISENESS of SPEECH’ of the Prophet (pbh) and the fact that the ‘Arab line’ or descent goes back tens of thousands of years to the time just after Noah, we are faced with a critical problem. Either the Prophet (pbh) was not firing on all cylinders that day, or he covered all contingencies and his truth is not just for a few decades before his appointment as a Prophet. So, those ‘comprehending Arabs’ were rewarded by their CREATOR LORD with advanced distinction proving that nothing really goes to waste!
We can also see cyclic behavior pan out when discussing the hadith that declares that the ‘horns of Satan’ will come from the East. This expression is not for Arabs only as Islam is not for Arabs only! As one might have read in these writings earlier, the problem caused by Marcion and the two devils claiming to be the Spirit of truth, which wounded Christianity, all came from the East.
All of these notions are generic in the sense that no man can really know specific times and dates down to the exact second because every human being is different and we are not generally given to know such things. Humans were created to deal with what was with them and their immediate surroundings as more of a priority than a philosophical jaunt through the wilderness.}
Granted this is not Islam 101 but the picture becomes clear as we enter this phase of humanity and not just one section of it! Those who refuse to go along with the ‘one mankind under the service to GOD’ idea are asking for a future admission to the Gog and Magog club which at the end of days will:
He (Zul-Qarnain – the lord/master of the two ages) said: “This is a Mercy from my LORD: but when the PROMISE**** of my LORD comes to pass, HE will make it {this ‘physical’ gate} into dust; and the PROMISE of my LORD is {always} true.”
On that day WE shall leave them to surge like waves on one another: the TRUMPET will {then} be blown and WE shall collect them all together {leaving none of them out}.
And WE shall present HELL that day for the unbelievers to see, all spread out.
Unbelievers whose eyes had been UNDER A VEIL from remembrance of ME and who had been even unable to hear. Quran (18:98-101)
{****We do not know for sure what specifically that PROMISE is so we cannot put a timeline on it. We do not need to know this, however, because the ‘right way of guidance’ is clear to every normal, thinking human being or a human being who is not deaf, dumb or blind.}
As a SIGN that we can be comfortable with, Jesus the Christ (pbh) must be reachable as well as highly blessed in his outcome. We can only be comfortable with a human and his struggles for supremacy.
The ‘come follow me’ of his dictates would only make sense to a human coming from another human being. His striving must inspire those who, like him, find value in the striving and the eventual goal to be reached (Paradise).
His reported reply to Peter shows that any person can do what he did but that person must build upon the mountain of success one block at a time, step by step! In other words, instant success cannot be obtained without the work or struggle being put forth or else we would not have a rightful example to follow!
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.” Isaiah (28:10)
So he {Jesus} said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
But when he saw that the wind was blowing fiercely, Peter became afraid {and had doubts}; and {while} beginning to sink {in the sea} he cried out, saying, “lord, save me!”
And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him {from sinking underneath the water}, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt {when you are in my presence}?” Matthew (14:29-31)
This shows that we should be moderate in building our faith and be content to wait upon the LORD as we meander our way through life’s little challenges.
So, what Jesus (pbh) had, he gained by going through a series of stages for a purpose (first for himself and then for others) for that is the second of the great COMMANDMENTS and that is to want for your brother as you would want for yourself!
For it is true in all of its aspects that a person who is in a positon to give has the upper hand over the person who receives. This ‘saying’ deals not only with money but with all sorts of issues.
As to the Christ-soul, he is rewarded with blessedness not through any ‘luck of the draw’ but through his earnest desire as a human being to serve his LORD with true, patient devotion. True devotion comes through thoughtful searching and practice in getting to ‘know one’s GOD’ and worshiping HIM in the best of ways!
A du’a from the Prophet says: O ALLAH! Help me to remember YOU, to thank you and to worship YOU in the BEST MANNER! Ameen! (Abu Dawood)
So in Jesus (pbh) we find the SIGN of a completed man or a man of Paradise. There should be no doubt that he was not handed his gifts starting with his Virgin birth and including all of his miracles as what might be called as ‘freebies’.
No one has ascended {gone up} into {the} heaven {from Earth}, except he who {also has} descended {come down} from heaven {to the Earth}: {even I} the son of Man {has done so}. John (3:13)
Of course we don’t have to know that either! It just makes the thought of Jesus (pbh) more human and understandable and would allow those who might be ‘sitting on the fence’ to realize that the future paradise to come requires responsible thought and action.
Since only a deviant, foolish person would not want to be a part of his kingdom (paradise) on Earth, the smart person would seek out what he/she should do and to operate in that system without blindness but with intelligence!
So, by their fruits you will know them. Matthew (7:16)!!!
However, when he, the Spirit of truth, does come, he will guide you into ALL truth; for he {as a true Prophet} will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears {in the form of REVELATION} he will speak; and he will tell you things to come {of the future}.
He will glorify me {honor me by telling the truth about me}, for he will take of what is mine {prophethood} and declare it to you {proclaim that he is GOD’s CHOSEN PROPHET}.
All things that the Father has {given me} are mine {including the honor of the Earthly paradise as its king}. Therefore I said that he {the Spirit of truth when he comes to this world} will take of mine and {will openly} declare it to you. John (16:13-15)
Mankind should not trash the Holy Records left to us as a Mercy and a Guidance (each to its individual group membership). It is true that only the Quran is, in its original form, the ‘Pure Language’ or 100% accurate according to the Old Testament (Zephaniah Chapter 3 verses 9 and 10) and the Quran itself!
However, even though there are several ways the Old and New Testaments have been corrupted to a certain extent, they still maintain a high level of accuracy when not selfishly interpreted. Either that or we assign to the ONE GOD a sense of lazy, carelessness in regard to the other peoples of the BOOK and then when HE felt sorry about this predicament, HE finally gets it right by making an incorruptible Quran.
If that were true, then GOD would not be GOD but a mistake-prone entity unable to protect souls from the ravages of time. But we are told to ‘fight through’ our human weaknesses and come to grips with an understanding of what is real versus the unreal.
Those to whom WE have GIVEN the BOOK, {and} Study it as it should be studied: they are the ones that {truly} believe therein: Those who reject faith therein, the LOSS is their own. Quran (2:121)
O mankind! WE created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that you may {get to} know each other (not that you may despise each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of ALLAH is he who is the most righteous of you. And ALLAH has FULL KNOWLEDGE and is well acquainted (with all things). Quran (49:13)
And to close out the story of the amazing Christ-soul as well as to refresh our memories about the Dead Sea Scrolls, the story is told in these scrolls which we can understand with more clarity now:
There in a room sits the king at the head of the table and around the table sit the prophets with those being closest to the king being honored thereby. At the king’s right hand stands the ‘priest of the Most High GOD’ who will be buried along with the Prophet (pbh) and they will arise together as one during the time the ‘caller’ will call.
The food is placed before the prophets as to representing the honored people who followed them. However, no one can partake of this glorious dinner, NOT EVEN THE king, until the food is blessed by the ‘priest of the Most High GOD’.
The king in this story is Muhammad (pbh) and the priest of the Most High GOD is Jesus the Christ! The idea is that before the Last Day of Judgment there shall be two mighty kingdoms on Earth. The one of Promise which is to say the blessed Christ kingdom or paradise on Earth which will only be temporal. Then comes the evil kingdom belonging to Satan in which the Quran is lifted up and people will behave like unruly asses and the women of the tribe of Daus will wiggle their buttocks around their filthy idols.
The first kingdom of blessedness is that Christ kingdom promised him by the Most High GOD and the religion of that kingdom will be Islam – rank upon blessed rank. Then people will have their term appointed visited on them (their end point or ‘final death’. The next kingdom is a filthy kingdom led by Satan and they too will individually and eventually die their ‘final death’.
Now at some point, the final blast of the ‘horn’ will be blown and then will come the blessed to some and dreadful to others – The Day of Judgment!
So, in order for the king (Muhammad) and the rest of the prophets to do as the ONE GOD has planned, things must go in chronological order. Therefore, ALL people, including the prophets, must wait upon the sequence set by the Most High GOD. Then, and only then, will Muhammad (pbh) be allowed to make intercession for the sons of Adam as that is the most privileged position for any man to have. No prophet, not even the Christ, will be given that honor.
So, Muhammad (pbh) has the unique honor of being that king or ‘leader of the prophets’ whereby he will be the first one to open the gates of Paradise and all other prophets even Jesus the Christ, having their own special honors, will be behind him.
