And “So It Goes Part 3” has a missing element that is very important for the case of Melchiedek being the Christ-soul. A lot could be said about that but why bother. Truly, the Christ-soul, as was our souls, was created in the distant past. We can see this especially in the following passage from the Old Testament*:
Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.”
So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.“ {existed – and he did because according to the Dead Sea Scrolls Melchiedek was born BEFORE the Great FLOOD of NOAH and was taken up to heaven and of course eventually brought down again where he met with Abraham}. John (8:56-58)
{*But you, O Bethlehem EPH′RATHAH, who are little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for ME one who is to be RULER in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days. Micah (5:2)
Micah was written down sometime around 700 BC.
Meaning that one from the house of David, will come to rule in his GOD-given kingdom by the seat of David and who can be called the son of David but greater than David shall he be and he will come and he will be the true ruler over Israel {meaning here in the broad sense ‘the believers’. And he is from the ANCIENT TIMES whose ORIGIN {or creation} IS FROM OF OLD.
Time is a creation of ALLAH. It is ALLAH WHO existed before time and space began! The future ruler of Israel – the KING OF THE BELIEVERS as the hadiths would put it (him (Jesus) returning NOT as a prophet but as a KING) is none other than that wonderful created being we now call Jesus the son of Mary (pbh)!
The similitude of Jesus before ALLAH is as that of Adam; HE created him from dust, then said to him: “Be.” And he was. Q (3:59).
Hence, the superiority of the doing, which is greater than just having plain knowledge and just existing, and we can see this also in adam (pbh), the ‘knowing one,’ who knew WHAT THE ANGELS DID NOT** through which came death but in the graduation of the same soul (Jesus), the doer, through which came eternal life (as a SIGN unto mankind OF WHAT COULD BE THEIRS).}
{**And HE taught Adam the nature of all things; then HE placed them before the angels, and said: “Tell ME the nature of these if you are right.”
They said: “Glory to YOU, of knowledge we have none, save what YOU have taught us: In truth it is YOU WHO are perfect in knowledge and wisdom.” Quran (2:31-32)
What is meant by Jesus (pbh) being a SIGN to mankind? Basically, it would mean many, many things as this human being (Jesus) is ‘THE GOOD’ representative for, one can say, being a man in this place we call Earth. You will live, you will pass on and you will live again – depending upon the WILL of ALLAH or as stated ‘AS ALLAH WILLS’.
Some may try to ‘limit’ that definition of ‘SIGN’ to just one thing. Whatever the total meaning is, let it be known that ALLAH is the ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS the depth of that statement!
So, ‘eternal life’ is shown as an EXAMPLE of one (the Christ-soul) in bowing down to his LORD’s WILL (doing what is expected and demanded of him) and depending upon HIS (GOD’s) GOOD GRACES and FORGIVENESS which he and his soul-mate prayed for:
{They (adam and eve) said: “Our LORD! we have WRONGED OUR OWN SOULS {in disobedience to YOU}: If YOU forgive us not and bestow not upon us YOUR MERCY, we shall certainly be lost.” Quran (7:23)}
And so mankind in various ways (some of which can be known and most of which is NOT known) follows suit:
O thou man! Verily you are EVER toiling on towards your LORD PAINFULLY toiling but you shall meet HIM {as promised}. Quran (84:6)
As he (Jesus) ‘begged’ for his SALVATION from his LORD and CREATOR, we must follow that pattern of earnestly reaching out to HIM WHO is our LORD and CREATOR – ALLAH.
But we cannot spend all eternity in doing so and we do not have to go through the complete testing grounds as he did as a ‘ground-breaker’ because once his job was finished in being that ‘anointed one’ (who does get special privileges see Isaiah chapter 53), came the signal for opening up of DIVINE GRACE, MERCY AND FORGIVENESS in that Special Way of signaling ‘the time is NOW at hand’!
The time is at hand FOR WHAT?: As Jesus declares:
“I have said all this to you to keep you from falling away.
They will put you out of the synagogues; indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to GOD.
And they will do this BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT {REALLY} KNOWN THE FATHER, NOR ME {as in acting contrary to real faith}.
But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told you of them.
“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.
But now I am going to HIM who sent me; yet none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Counselor {PROPHET MUHAMMAD} will not come to you {AS ALL THINGS ARE IN THEIR DUE SEASON}; but if I go, I will send him to you {he will be sent to you}.
And when he comes, he will (convince?) the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:
concerning sin, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT {really} BELIEVE IN ME;
concerning righteousness, because I go to the FATHER, and you will see me no more {I WILL HAVE BEEN ALTERED AS TO THAT EXAULTED CREATION AS PROMISED TO ALL MEN*** WHO THROUGH THE BLESSINGS, GRACE AND MERCY OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD HAVE BEEN GIFTED PARADISE};
{***And when I go {I will} and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am YOU MAY ALSO {BE}. John (14:3)}
concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
“I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
However, when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into ALL THE {PERTINENT} TRUTH; for he will NOT speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak {AS A FORM OF REVELATION}, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
He will glorify me {he will honor my roll by telling the truth about me}, for he will take what is mine {PROPHETHOOD} and declare it to you. John (16:1-14).
Concerning the Christ-role:
This complex and highly complicated process OF LIVING can be boiled down in to simple terms! Life will continue on like this FOREVER and FOREVER with no let up UNTIL one man completes his examination under GOD’s GUIDANCE.
When he has completed his role in the ‘PLANNED’ scheme of things – up to that point of being the one who became the Messiah – a NEW PHASE can be brought forward in the coming of the Spirit of truth to lay down the essentials for the Religion of the Future!!!
Another example is the meeting of two armies determined to be so wasteful as to fight to the death. However, an idea is brought forth by someone to spare all of this carnage by having both sides produce their champion fighter. Both champions will fight to the death and the winner will accomplish two things:
- The war will be declared over and no more violence and pain will be inflicted.
- To the victor goes the spoils and this is ‘hot’ news for the people spared the continuous, forever ongoing hardships of war lasting an eternity or until the last man standing on either side is not wiped out.
Hence, we have been toiling, toiling but, yes, there is an END IN SIGHT known as the ‘LAST DAY of JUDGMENT’ which is why we were born. One can’t have a LAST DAY before the Christ-soul succeeds in becoming the Messiah in whom ALLAH is WELL PLEASED and the Spirit of truth incarnates to declare THE OPTIMAL WAY (John16:8).
Why must there be growth? One does not plant a seed and see the maturity of the fruits the next day! If man is toiling, toiling and some die before the age of 5, for example, then not all men do toil! However, if that is just a stage in that soul’s life, then one has to continue on the track set for that soul by the ALL-WISE CREATOR LORD.
So, Jesus (pbh) was a SIGN that the cosmic struggle would soon come to its completion. What was needed was the Spirit of truth to come and give the PATTERN for that KINGDOM on Earth to be led by the Messiah himself on his return!
Then all of those who are to be members of this Kingdom would eventually die and that other notorious and devilish kingdom will arise and they will eventually die and then comes the FULL RESURRECTION and DAY OF SORTING OUT MEANING DAY OF JUDGMENT.
A normal well-adjusted human being doesn’t give a fig for boring, long-winded arguments proving nothing but that wind does blow! It has been proven for millennia that people will jump on any bandwagon until some hardships occur and then they will desert the cause with a hasty retreat.
All that means is that ‘IF WE DID NOT TEACH THESE THINGS IN OUR SCHOOLS, THAT IS BECAUSE THEY DON’T REALLY EXIST’. That is equivalent to saying that I believe in the dignity of the truthfulness of various religions (BESIDES MINE) but those swine who don’t believe like me never will find salvation!
There are two things that that type of individual shows:
- Arrogance (GOD and me or is it ME and god are as close as two peas in a pod!)
- An abnormal capacity to love oneself! I’m so lucky I could kiss myself! That’s how smart GOD is! HE knows that it will be good for HIM to love me!
Religion is the finding of one’s true self in the contemplation of the RECORDS so as to become more in tune with what GOD desires than what I would desire. It is also pursuing the ‘love of truth’ while worshiping ONLY ONE LORD AND SAVIOR WHILE ACKNOWLEDGING THAT ONE’S BRAIN DOES NOT CONTAIN ALL KNOWLEDGE.
