Many are the ways people try to take Islam down. This world, by its very nature, is a world of deception. We can figure that one out in a variety of ways. One way is by knowing that in Earth’s history there have been well over 100,000 prophets that have visited mankind (hadith) but have religious teachings remained pure?
The answer is no because of the treachery and bickering between various peoples who have splintered and changed The Divine Way. And man was further guided with rectitude by THE AL-RASHEED (ALLAH) but man preferred to be contentious and emphasize what appealed to him rather than keep FAITH alive and eternal.
Say: “Everyone acts according to his own disposition {whispering secret agenda} but your LORD (The Real GOD) knows best who it is that is best on the WAY {correct pathway}.” Quran (17: 84)
One way to cleverly attack Islam is to attack its miraculous wonders that occurred to the Prophet (pbh) and redirect people to their own religious philosophy. One example is the attempt to downgrade the mystical journey he had to Jerusalem and then on towards the various levels of heaven – all of this being accomplished in a few hours.
Sow doubts about the Islamic Faith and the Prophet (pbh) while substituting in its place a ‘call’ to their religious philosophy which many times appears to be Evangelistical Christianity. If not this notorious philosophy then atheism or some form of bizarre belief system passing itself off as a type of Islam is presented.
The only real trusted schools of Islamic jurisprudence are but 4 in number: These schools are named after Abu Hanifa (Hanafi School), Malik ibn Anas, (Maliki School) al-Shafi’i, (Shafi’i School) and Ahmad ibn Hanbal, (Hanbali School).
To cut to the chase, did the Prophet (pbh) go physically on a ‘night journey’ to Jerusalem and then rise up to the various levels of the heavens where he was presented many wonders and sights?
The answer will not please everyone! After all, what does? However, due to the advancement of science, namely physics and probable documented history of ‘actual paranormal occurrences of this type’, we can come to a dramatic conclusion that puts the ‘M’ in miraculous happenings!
Scientifically at least the answer is YES and NO! That sounds strangely like doubletalk but science can show it as otherwise! So, the answer to the above question is plain and simple. Yes, the Prophet (pbh) went to Jerusalem and then into the heavens with his soul and his physical body and also, his physical body remained behind in Makkah!
The science behind this phenomenon was proven to exist in 2010 by two physicists who accomplished an amazing feet. Their discovery was thought to be impossible just a few decades ago but they accomplished what normally would be considered the unthinkable.
Some deformed individuals might declare that if these two scientists could do it, the ONE GOD can’t. That is disgusting to say the least for ALLAH is THE ALL POWERFUL, THE ALL ABLE and it is HE WHO is far, far above the comprehension of the feeble minds of the angles, men, Jinn and all creatures.
In the year 2010, two physicists, Andrew Cleland and John Martinis, were able to take a minute, physical particle and make it appear in two different places at the same time. This is called bilocation.
Bilocation (meaning two places) is difficult to comprehend and frankly it remains problematic to prove in humans. There are cases of people being reported to actually be ‘physically present’ in two different locations at one and the same time.
However, at this time, our awareness of such a phenomenon is quite frankly very, very primitive such that we have hardly scratched the surface in understanding the awesome potential of the human capabilities or in understanding the various capabilities of the human soul in relation to the various possible dimensions of possible multiple universes.
Those who refuse the possibility of such things happening usually fall back on the doppelgänger theory whereby someone’s double was seen rather than the one person theory.
The story now takes on more sense when we see that most early Islamic scholars preferred the body and soul combination of travel for the Prophet (pbh) in his important journey on that blessed night. The counter idea of his travelling ‘only’ spiritually lost out especially when one might consider that people would attack Islam and the Prophet (pbh) as being just a dreamer or at worst an inventor of tales.
A very important hadith from ‘Aisha declares that the Prophet (pbh) went to Jerusalem and into the heavens with his soul and not his perceived body. That was a dangerous hadith because of the condition she had as the Prophet’s wife.
So, people took the only way out that they could by declaring that the ‘Mother of the Faithful’ did not know the Prophet (pbh) at the time of his journey and therefore she could not be qualified to speak about what happened before she actually lived with him.
That in reality is a lame excuse because her character as can be proven by studying her life is one of healthy curiosity and asking lots of questions from her husband (pbh) concerning events in his life before she was his wife in physical standing. Therefore, she shouldn’t be treated as just a piece of fluff or a non-concerned individual as she is the Mother of the Faithful.
All this may sound like gobbledygook because we cannot yet understand the complex principles involved but we now have evidence from science that one object can exist in two places at the same time.
What we don’t understand is how this can occur on such a large scale as the human body. However, if man can take any physical object no matter how small and have that object appear in two different places at the same time, then HOW MUCH GREATER IS THE POWER OF ALLAH!!!
So theoretically one could still see the Prophet (pbh) leaning against the Kabbah while he also physically went on the night journey to Jerusalem and into the heavens with both his body and soul. Hence, his body was indeed in two places at the same time! As with all things, it is ALLAH WHO KNOWS BEST!
In order to frame a happening, we need a reference to give us an understanding of possible events. Note, that we are just in the beginning of trying to grasp an understanding of just this three dimensional universe and its dynamics. About the relationship with other dimensions or universes we can only but just imagine the possibilities that lie before us!
Behold! ALLAH said: “O Jesus! I will take you and raise you {up} to MYSELF and clear you (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow you superior {in faith} to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall you all return unto ME, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein you dispute.” Quran (3:55)
And he {Jesus} said to him {the man who was to be crucified in place of Jesus}, “Truly I say to you, TODAY {this very day} you shall be with me in Paradise.” Luke (23:43)
It is reported in Islamic sources by at-Tabari or ibn Isaac that while Jesus (pbh) was in the ‘tomb’ he was in a deep sleep for either 3 or 7 hours. We also know that it is THE ONE GOD WHO takes the souls of men during deep sleep and some HE returns to their bodies and some HE keeps by which those souls do not return and the physical body dies and starts the process of decay.
It is ALLAH that takes the souls (of men) at death; and those that do NOT die (HE takes) during their sleep: those on whom HE has passed the decree of death, HE keeps back (from returning to life), but the rest HE sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed verily in this are Signs for those who reflect. Quran (39:42)
So, when Jesus (pbh) was taken up and cleared of falsehood for to be fair, ALL* must be heard even the worst of peoples, that soul (Simon the Cyrenian) accompanied him to the heavens and remained therein.
*{We find in hadith literature an example of this concept (being raised up and the truth being established for all time to come) in the story of the Ummah of Prophet Noah (pbh). When this group of renegades is asked (for they must be asked in fairness) if any warner came to them, they will reply that no warner (prophet) came to them urging them to be true and faithful to their CREATOR.
Then, the Muslim Ummah, which is the best of the Ummahs and the most well-balanced, will speak up and tell them in front of ALLAH that they are LIARS for indeed a true prophet did come to them whose name is Noah (pbh). Being caught in a lie of their own feeble making, they will then be ushered into the HELL-FIRE!}
So there you have it!!!
It is thought that Jesus (pbh) returned fully to his body but Simon the Cyrenian was no more present in the tomb. Therefore, the one body exiting the tomb was Jesus (pbh) (so the tomb remained empty when he walked out of it) even though he (Jesus) was neither killed nor crucified!
That they {the ruling Jews at that time} said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of ALLAH; but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but SO IT WAS MADE TO APPEAR TO THEM {AS SUCH}, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him NOT {they didn’t cause his death}: Quran (4:157)
Also note that Luke is correct in saying TODAY (WHEN THE BODY OF SIMON THE CYRENIAN WAS IMMEDIATELY TAKEN DOWN FROM THE CROSS ON THAT VERY SAME DAY THAT HE WAS CRUCIFIED AND PLACED INTO THE SEPLECURE!) meaning THIS VERY DAY AND NOT IN 3 DAYS OR NEXT WEEK OR NEXT MONTH HE WILL BE IN PARADISE (meaning in the heavens as was promised in Luke 23:43) **.
**{The verse found in Luke 23:43 was supposedly moved from its original place in order to fit the narrative ‘discovered’ by the Church Father Justin Martyr in 146 or 148 CE in that he produced his so-called proof (the final edition as it were) of the crucifixion problem.
So, historically, and the peoples can’t hide this fact, that it took over 100 years to ‘officially’ announce that Jesus (pbh), according to their faulty logic, was indeed physically crucified thus throwing the Gnostics branch of Christianity into a quandary.
And in knowing that even then the Christians did not have a Canon (a real honest to goodness New Testament Book of agreed writings) further upends the razzle dazzle of the Evangelicals when trying to convince anyone of the crucifixion of Jesus (pbh).}
So, in this case, what happened to Jesus (pbh) is ALSO a form of bilocation giving yet another credence to the meaning found in the Gospel of John:
“He {the Spirit of truth} will glorify me {tell the truth about me}, for he will take of mine{prowess of what I was allowed to achieve and whatever else ALLAH WILLS} and will disclose it to you {by the actions of THE PROPHET (pbh)}. John (16:14)
If you were in doubt as to what WE have revealed unto you, then ask those who have been reading {in earnestness as seekers of truth} the Book from BEFORE you: the Truth has indeed come to you from your LORD: so be in no wise of those in doubt. Quran (10:94)
One can say that one needs a fairly good book to be extant (if it can be properly understood) IF ONE CAN FIND VERIFICATION UPON WHICH YOUR BOOK (THE QURAN) SPEAKS.
And as we have seen throughout these writings that the Old and New Testaments have undergone some form of transformation in not keeping all the details correct. However, it still remains a fairly good positive force for the Jews and Christians to get to know the purer realities of what has actually transpired in this earthly realm (when studied correctly) and what is required from those who truly believe! That is to turn to the Spirit of truth!
Those {Various Peoples} to whom WE have sent the BOOK study it as it should be studied {with meaning, intent, vocalization, as a Guide and as a Remembrance as they shall pass on knowledge to keep the flame of truth alive and interest in the future-life well-watered}: They are the ones that believe therein: Those who reject faith {and pay no heed to it – to these life giving spiritual waters} therein, the loss is their own {by their own hands so they will have no one to blame but themselves}. Q (2: 121)
A peculiar psychological problem that man faces on this planet is called Alethephobia and this can hold back men from understanding the real from the falsehoods.
Alethephobia is a Fear of Truth. It can be a fear of any discovery or new thing requiring openness and logical processes. In part, it is a fear of hearing truth being potentially disclosed and spread abroad or disseminated.
It is rooted in the fear of the truth whether it is subjective or objective and is a primary motivator for people to resist what has been called ‘common sense’ and revert back to biased arguments that tend to comfort their egos rather than adopting a stance of openness and logic.
This is due to the fact that people find it hard to change or leave their ‘comfort zone’. In religious instances, if their hearts do not awaken, they find their way to the truth blocked.
And when they do have only a modicum ability to think, then their hearts will obey the punishment of ignorance sent upon them up until THE TIME THE ONE LORD GRANTS ACCESS. For sure, HE is THE ONE in control of DIVINE DESTINY and not man.
And universally speaking:
Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.
ALLAH has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment.
And of mankind, there are some who say: “We believe in ALLAH {GOD} and the Last Day,” while in fact they do not really believe.
They (think to) deceive ALLAH {GOD} and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves and perceive (it) not!
In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and ALLAH has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies. Quran (2:6-10)
And the Disciples came and said to him {Jesus}, “Why do you speak to them {these particular Jews} in parables {because they can’t act on what they don’t fathom}?”
He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has NOT BEEN GIVEN.
For whoever has {THE REAL FAITH AS JUDGED BY GOD}, to him more will be given {at the END}, and he will have abundance {in the Afterlife}; but whoever does NOT have {that real faith}, even what he has will be taken away from him {and he will become bereft of any goodness (meaning good deeds and he will suffer humiliation on the Day of Judgment)}.
Therefore, I {Jesus} speak to them in parables, because seeing they do NOT see, and hearing they do NOT hear, NOR will they understand.
And in them the prophecy of Isaiah {in the Old Testament} is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall NOT understand, and seeing you will see and NOTperceive; Matthew (13:10-14)
But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the {this} scroll until the time of the end {when the end of this AGE draws near}. {And during those times} Many will go here and there to increase knowledge*** {on various subjects – religion, science, technology, astronomy, geology, archeology and many other fields}. Daniel (12:4)
***{There is no quandary (dilemma or difficulty) in believing in Jesus (pbh) being asleep in the grave scenario as there is great difficulty with the so-called crucified Jesus being killed and rising from the grave (his death). Why is that?
Such is the case that it is made clear in the Old Testament, Psalms (91:14-15),
the New Testament, John (10:17-18), and the Quran, Quran (5:110), that there are no real contradictions in having the protected and raised up Jesus (pbh) enter the heavens while he was asleep in the ‘grave’.
After that, he returns to Earth to confront and teach his Disciples concerning themysteries of that event backed up with the scripture of the Jews as is recorded in the Gospel of Luke.
Then he said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning me.”
And he opened their understanding {to these MYSTERIES}, that they might {finally}comprehend the {Jewish} Scriptures {pertaining to this miraculous event}. Luke (24:44-45)
Furthermore, the New Testament under the understanding of it being manipulated to fit a scenario, can be kept in line with the Old Testament’s version and the Quranic declaration of a protected Jesus, Quran (3:55), when one considers the Gospel of John’s comment, John (10:17-18), of him not being able to be killed.
To further add evidence to these thoughts, one can understand that Jesus (pbh) did raise up unto the heavens in full body and full soul, very much alive, I might add, 40 days after his passion as declared in the Acts written by the author of the Gospel of Luke.
The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach.
Until the day in which he was taken up, after he through {the guidance of} the Holy Spirit {the Angel of Revelation – Gabriel} had given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen.
To whom he also presented himself {physically} alive after his suffering by many infallibleproofs, being seen by them {off and on} during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of GOD. Acts (1:1-3)
From this we can understand that GOD IS ONE AND THAT HIS MESSAGE AND MESSENGERS ARE ONE AND THAT RELIGION (BASICALLY THE RECORDS) ARE ONE but that various peoples have taken upon themselves to change the true story for selfish reasons, of which there are many, with their ardent supporters enjoying that spectacle as it gratifies their inner desires.
And if one encounters doubt or hostility of any kind, then declare to those who doubt: “follow your own BOOK then and believe therein in Zephaniah (3:9-10) and in Acts (3:22-23) for it came to pass and it shall be upheld though the disbelievers detest it!}
